Do I need a Shopify store to use FeedbackBuddy?
No. FeedbackBuddy works for any online business: SaaS products, WooCommerce and WordPress sites, marketplaces, agencies, or any website. Shopify is one integration among several; you can also collect feedback with a website widget, hosted survey links and email.
How does it work on Shopify?
Install the app from the Shopify App Store and add the FeedbackBuddy block to your thank-you page and order status page in the checkout editor. Responses are linked to the Shopify order, so you can jump straight from feedback to the order. Shopify stores are billed through Shopify.
Is it free on Shopify development stores?
Yes. Development stores get every Pro feature with unlimited responses, free forever while you build. When the store moves to a paid Shopify plan, campaigns pause until you choose a plan (Pro is $29.99/month or $290/year), and your data stays put.
How do I add surveys to my website or WordPress?
Paste one script tag before </body> (or use the WordPress plugin). Popup and inline surveys then appear based on your URL rules, targeting and sampling. You can identify signed-in users so answers are linked to real customers.
Who sends the feedback emails?
You do. Email campaigns and post-purchase automations are sent through your own email provider and sending domain: Postmark, Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES, SparkPost, Brevo, Mailjet, MailerSend, Elastic Email, or any SMTP server. Your domain, your deliverability, your provider. We never send feedback emails from our servers.
